Dare to Be Free
What is freedom?
A few weeks ago we celebrated the 4th of July here in the United States. Such amazing things happen when people come together and declare that freedom is not only needed but they are ready to fight for each other to achieve it!
It is hard to imagine how bad things must have been for our forefathers that they were willing to fight and even die for that freedom.
But that is why God sent His only Son to die for us because He wants our soul to be free in both death and life! He felt it was worth it!
He wants us to know we are free in everything we do!
I believe we can live a life free of anxiety, fear, and stress NOT because we won’t have trials, but because we are not alone in troubled times.
Oh, believe me, I can stress and fret with the best but I also know that when I stop allowing the things I cannot control to overwhelm me things are so much better. Does this mean the trouble in my life “magically” disappears?
NO, but I am given strength to make it through.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (MEV) reminds us, “Be strong and of a good courage. Fear not, nor be afraid of them, for the LORD your God, it is He who goes with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you.”
I am just blown away by this amazing promise! We have no reason to fear because we are not alone! Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shouldn’t fear any evil thing that is happening because He is with us!! [Psalm 23:4]
It is my prayer that you will see the love and joy God has for you! He wants us to know He is here for us each and every day offering comfort, refuge, and peace.
He is knocking at the door, won’t you let Him in?
