Dare to Be You…
Who are you?
Who am I?
This is a question I’ve been asking myself for years.
For the first 38 years of my life, I had NO idea 🤷♀️
For the first 18 years, I was Momma’s daughter and then for the next 20 years, I was the girlfriend/wife of my now ex.
It might sound silly, but it wasn’t until after my divorce I discovered I prefer mayonnaise over Miracle Whip. 😜
Why is it important to know who you are?
I believe you were created, by God, for a specific purpose. There is something that ONLY you can do! 💥💥
As Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians, “we don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us! But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly” (1 Corinthians 13:12–13 MSG).
As you and I grow to trust God, to have hope, and to love He will help us learn to lean on Him. 👣👣👣👣
The peace I have when I stop trying to figure things out on my own is HUGE!
I’d like to tell you, I ALWAYS give my stress and struggles to Him, but I don’t. I STILL get caught up in the hows and whys of the things that aren’t going the way I want them to.
It isn’t long before I hear God whisper to my heart.
He asks, “do you trust Me or not?”
“Of course,” I respond.
Then He says, “Instead, of questioning why things aren’t going the way you want them to, ask what can you learn about the situation.”
When I change my focus, what I see changes. God shows me how the trials I am going through help me to grow and THEN how I can share them with you to help you too!
You might be asking what all of this has to do with being your unique self…
Life is about choices, right?
I believe the way you handle life challenges is directly related to the person you will become and how you will impact the lives of others.
How are you handling today’s challenges?
How can you use them to become a better version of yourself?
