Dare to Change Your Perspective
Have you ever come face-to-face with something that was just too much for you to handle? Losing a loved one, an illness, financial loss, trouble with family, or any other things that might happen. 🥺😱
I know I have. When this happens all, I want to do is run away and hide. I want to throw up my hands and say, “I quit!” 😲😖
Can I get a witness? 😕
When life takes us out, the last thing we want is to deal with it. 😱
Obviously, just running away from home isn’t an option, so what is? 🤦♀️
I am certain you are familiar with the story of David and Goliath from the Bible. The most powerful thing to see is how each player viewed themselves. 🧐
🧐 First, we have Goliath; he was a big man. The Bible records him as being over nine feet tall. (Scholars report that most men during this time were about five feet tall.) He was big, and he was mean. He’s stomping back and forth calling the Israelites filthy dogs and saying nasty things about God.
🧐 The Israelite soldiers feared him. No one would stand up to this bully.
🧐 Then along comes David, a shepherd boy. He hears the things Goliath is saying about God and he will not let him slide. Instead of looking at how big this guy was, he knows his God is bigger, and he defeats him! 🙌💪
I hate to admit it, but I spend a lot of time focusing on how big my fear is instead of how BIG my God is! This is where fear and anxiety take over. 🤦♀️
David didn’t look at Goliath through his eyes, he looked at him from God’s perspective. This allowed him to rely on God and His truth, instead of his own. 🙌🙌
What is happening in your life today that seems too big for you to handle? How would it change if you told it how BIG your God is and gave it all to HIM instead? 💥
I dare you to see your life through the eyes of your BIG-BIG God today! 🎤Uniquely yours,
