Dare to Dance Like God is Watching—Because He is!
I am certain that you have heard the suggestion that we should dance like no one’s watching, but how realistic is that?
I know for me the only way I’ve found this to be possible is to dance—alone.
The enemy is quick to tell me when I step out, “who do you think you are?” Or “you aren’t good enough, pretty enough, smart enough…”
The list goes on and on.
But if I keep my eyes focused on God, I don’t have to wonder or even care who else is watching!
Most people are aware of the story of Abraham and Sarah. God promised them a child, but they tried to do things their way and in their timing. This caused Hagar, Sarah’s maidservant, to be given to Abraham to have a baby. This caused Sarah to resent Hagar and she was thrown out like trash.
Have you ever felt that way?
I sure have.
I thought my biological father didn’t want me because he had a new daughter with his new wife.
My step-father had horrible intentions toward me. After Momma divorced him, he said I would never be anything.
When I got married, I never felt like I was enough. There was always another woman, either online or in person.
At some point, I stopped trying.
That is when I finally met the God who sees me!
He showed me that I am His child, His beloved daughter, He showed me that I am worthy, and that I am enough.
I don’t know what things you’ve been through, but I hope you know that whatever the enemy says to you is a lie. He doesn’t want you to know how important you are. He doesn’t want you to dance, he wants you to feel alone and empty.
God wants you to know He loves you for who you are. The woman He created you to be!
God wants you to dance to the beat of the heart He has placed in your chest.
