Dare to Seek God’s Help
Do you struggle with depression? I do and I understand the struggle is real.
I know firsthand how it feels to become overwhelmed with fear because the heavy blanket of depression feels like it is going to smother me. As the walls of doubt close in around me, I become disorientated, my heart rate spikes, and I find it hard to breathe. This comes from my fear of the unknown. The enemy of my soul has come with the intention to paralyze me with my fears. He doesn’t want me to accomplish the plans God has for me.
If this sounds familiar to you, I want you to know there is hope.
It is easy to get so caught up in a situation where you feel like you are completely alone, but I want to assure you that you aren’t.
The writer of Psalm 46:1-3 (CSB), says, “God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains shake with its swelling.”
Can you get a picture of this scene in your head? I have a pretty vivid imagination and I can just see the earth trembling as an earthquake shakes the land. Trees, rocks, and other objects are falling all around me, crashing into the water causing it to rise. Instead of being filled with fear at this, I have peace—His peace knowing that no matter what happens, I can run to God for His help!
This is way better than any superhero trying to save the day! 🥰😃
Now please understand me when I say God doesn’t promise you won’t have trouble, but what He does promise is that He will guide you through it. As Paul said, in Romans 8:32, “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
The God of all hope, peace, joy, and strength is here for you, He loves you, and He is with you.
Please let me know how I can pray for you today.
